In the process of trying to set my TPS but having great difficulty. My bike idles low or high and frequently stalls which is the reason for this endeavor.

I've searched the threads and nowhere have I read which wires to actually take a voltage reading on.

From what I can tell is the front TPS is adjusted with a cold engine to 3.8V wide open throttle, engine off and cold. I was only able to get close to this value when checking the Black/Yellow wires. But there's 3 wires, black, yellow, and blue. Is this correct?

The only way I've gotten 3.8V on black/yellow is by completely removing the screw and turning the TPS beyond the adjustment range allowed by the bolt. So WTF do I do now?

No TuneECU either. Seems most people are doing this adjustment from the comfort of their computers.

PITA!

Download the service manual located somwhere in this forum. Shoould tell you all you need to know.

My money is still on moisture in the BGC or one of the other associated FI connectors...just speaking from experience. Chased ny ass for 6 months trying to sort an issue just like you described. Moisture in the BGC was the culpit. Thourough cleaning, drying and liberal packing with dilectric grease.....sorted.

Good luck. Keep us advised.

Look in the How To section - as there is a very good write up of what you need to do.

It is very sensitive but doable with a little patience and also well worth doing coupled with a TB sync.

Do the TB sync first then check the TPS.
