Mine starts at about 2000 (or 2500 when cold outside) and then pretty soon ( just a few seconds) settles around 1400/1500 rpm.
When i just got the bike i always felt it was idling at to much revs, but 1400/1500 Seems to be minimum. ( i believe it had to do with the oil/dry sump)

You can change it with TuneECU, but might be worth seeing what the TPS is set like.

There is no idle screw. It's all controlled electronically. You'll need to kook the bike up to TuneECU and read the volts at full throttle with the engine off and cold.I think it's supposed to be 3.80v but don't quote me on that!!! You can adjust the volts buy twisting the TPS after unscrewing the bolt that locks it in place. Don't try and adjust it without TuneECU!!! It's very sensitive and you'll fook it up and it will either stall and run way to fast.
There is a whole thread on it somewhere. I'm pretty sure MrZ32 started it.

Stay away from it! It needs to idle that high due to the construction of engine psitons etc.
Has been explained on this forum before, piston rattle in the bores blah blah tired now.

Grendel's bike doesn't side idling very long. If he doesn't worry about it, neither should you.
