hi guys, I'm trying to setup my tune software. I have the cable and no clue where to start. There are 62 pages of info and it is overwhelming to a computer illiterate person as to where or what to download off Tune ECU's website . I have taken the secondary butterflies out and getting an error code. I have a powercommander on the bike, but can't run it on the dyno because I cannot set the TPS because the voltage is all over the place. Is there a simple set of instructions to get this working?

I have looked at this. I have no idea what d2xx drivers are, FTDI devices or VCP's

Well...I used a friends laptop to start with my setup...
I now have a PCv and autotune...
BUT...
If you go to the site it has instructions and downloads for the drivers...
It explains what to start with...I don't know what the numbers etc of the drivers mean..but that you need them for the program to work..
It's a matter of just downloading them..
Make sure you read..There are updates to the software along the way..
You should read through all the posts on the thread..
Several of the guys will answer if you post up to THAT particular thread...
Alot of guys are pro's and can tell you exactly what you need...
If you aren't good at computer stuff...
Might be better to hook up with someone that already
has it set up..
(What I did)
Again..you really should read it through..ALL of it..
BEFORE you plug in anything...You could wipe out the ECU
and end up with a lump of coal...and have to spend $$
for a new one...
I'm not much help...Just trying to point you in the
right direction bro...
Good luck with it ..it is WORTH the effort to learn it..

Hi dude, happy to help but you need to supply more information about what you try to do.
The PCV and autotune software should just run straight of your laptop as soon as you installed it and all info is on the dynojet site.
PCV and tuneecu are 2 totally different things. Tuneecu allows you to load a map in to the ecu, change settings like sas and is also a diagnostic tool.
You need a cable for that so you can hook the laptop in to the SD's ecu (available on the net or order parts and make yourself, again infor on the tuneecu site or here).
First of all if you just want to do a map on the dyno, switch off the fault from the secondary flies and your bike is otherwise fine DON"T touch the tps itself as you will make a mess of it.
You can adjust the TPS voltage in the PCV but you need to warm up the engine properly or you get wrong readings, after that it should be steady and you can put that value in the PCV software as 0% opening. The throttle is open when the bike is cold and closes while it warms up, hence the required warm up to get correct and steady voltage reading
For tuneecu, just install it on the laptop, if it doesn't run it will tell you what it needs, all the required drivers can be downloaded from tuneecu or windows sites.
To solve installation issues let us know what windows you're using on the laptop.
Hope this helps.

Jas123....
KTMGuy is very knowlegable and can definitely steer you in the right direction...
I think I confused him though...lol
I did all the good stuff...originally...
removed the SAS..and can in the arse....
Installed resistor though to keep from getting check engine light...
Removed O2 sensors and installed resistors there too...
Removed flies, shafts n motors...
Motoholigan air cleaner unit....
blah blah...
THEN used Tuneboy program to turn off flies...
and added a map...James.???? I believe....
Since then...I installed the PCv unit...
Added the dual autotune...and been a happy camper since...
Thanks Guy..I knew you would jump in and lend some expertise
A lot more than I have...

KTM guy Here is what I have: PCV 3, Motohooligan airbox,SAS blockoffs FMF s(no DB killers). Last year I ran the bike and had it tuned on the dyno. The dyno operator said he had the bike on the dyno for 10 hours( yes 10 hours ),2 tanks of gas,and 1 bald tyre later, he made some improvement, but still not quite right( i won't bring it back to him). I did my own seat of the pants testing and got it much better.
Now i decided to remove the db killers from the FMF's,and secondary butterflies so the error code flashes. I brought it to a new dyno operator and he told me that the TPS voltage was all over the place and he couldn't tune the bike because of this. KTM guy I believe you gave me the answer as to why this was happening( not warmed up properly) But the dyno guy said it was probably because of the error code that was flashing.
So, I bought the tune cable to diagnose the fluctuating TPS voltage and to turn off the secondaries. And have been overwhelmed and lost in tune ECU info! I clicked on the instructions in the first post of the offical tune ECU thread, and there is nothing there. The only thing that I have found and downloaded was the latest Tune ECU version 2.3.4 and I get the guages that say Triumph.
Unfortunately for me, I'm fairly computer illiterate and have no one to fall back on. I've always learned by being a" hands on" kind of guy and swap jets with the best of them, but having trouble with this. Maybe I could find a 9 year old with basic computer skills and he could set this up for me!!!

First off, this question should have been asked in . Keeping stuff in one place makes it alot easier to search and find info on the forum.
Now, if you would have read the last 2 pages of the TuneECU thread you would have seen .
Each and every thread on this forum has it's own personalised search box. Right below the title is a box with 'Search this topic..." in it. For example, try entering 'Triumph' in the box and pressing Enter/Return on the keyboard or clicking the 'Search' button. First search result is , basically asking the same question about the Triumph interface. On the right side is 'Jump to this post' clicking this will open the thread on that location. And behold! Just below the post is ...
And last, if you are not comfortable with computers and haven't got the foggiest what you are doing, please consider that it is perfectly possible to F#ck up your ECU with TuneECU. So please, at least skim through the manual...
