On my SD -08 the left indicator flashes twice the speed most of the time. I've noticed that it happens all the time when in neutral. It can be ok for a while when running in gear, but after a while it starts flashing more rapid. On the right side it's normal. Anyone experienced this? Searched the forum but it seems more related to led-indicator problem. Mine is stock indicators. I've checked connectors and that the bulbs are the correct... This is really mysterious and quiet annoying. Would really like to get this sorted. Battery voltage is ok. I'm suspecting the turn signal relay is faulty but before I go and buy a new I'd like to hear the comments. Thanks!

If it does it only on the left hand side it's not the relay. The relay works both sides the same.
Check when it does it if both the front and rear are still flashing, I suspect a bad connection or corrosion at the socket or the bulbs itself.
If not, you have a switch or wiring problem.
The increased speed when flashing is when the resistance goes up, like when a bulb goes faulty or you remove one. Look for bad contacts like corrosion, bad negative connections to the frame and so on.
Hope this helps.

Thanks ktmguy! . Sounds logic. I'll check the contacts once more and this time I'll give it a good try with some WD40. Hopefully it helps...

I've had something similiar on another bike... Regular bulbs.
Turned out the element in the bulb was broken but would touch and make a normal contact only sometimes - when the revs were at a certain speed etc.
I changed out both bulbs on the bad side and it worked fine.

Mikar - did you ever resolve you left indicator problem?
Got exactly the same problem - left side indicators flash alot quicker than right side. Checked bulbs and connections for corrosion but nothing evident. Thought I had solved the problem this afternoon and got left indicator to flash normally but as soon as I switched on the engine the problem came back again.
Anyone got any ideas?
Thanks

Ok so you have visually checked bulbs and connection but have you ever tried to swap bulbs from right side or to use new spare bulb and try left front and rear replace?
