Hi All

I'm looking for a set of good value sticky tyres for sunny day blasts and the odd track day.

My Superduke is a toy, so tyre longevity and wet weather performance are not really a requirement

Found these: (Michelin Pilot Power £142.99 a pair)

Any thoughts?

Cheers

Chris

I'm running these at the moment front and back, i like them, good in the wet if you WERE to get caught out, i have been a few times. i couldn't tell you mileage sorry, i have had them on for nearly a year! but didn't note the mileage (and it's been sporadic).

I need a new one on the rear and might try pilot road 3 i've been hearing about recently, but will have no hesitations coming back to a set of pilot power if it doesn't work out.

Based on the dates of the reviews and the price, these are not the latest Power 3 which have been in the UK for six weeks or so and for which I paid £225+ for a pair..........

Thanks for the feedback both

They're the original Pilot Powers. Not sure whether to go for the latest tyres and pay £200+ or go for an older (cheaper) tyre.... I wonder if i would notice the difference at my level of riding!

Anybody else got a decent deal on their tyres?

i just bought pilot road 3 on the rear which i'm not finding a problem with at this point -- took it up some really tight twisties and was nailing it as usual . Also riding it to the edge of the tread at 70+ ( which isn't 125mph but oh well ) and it's gripping fine so far --- the rear was 167.00 $ but my point is the DunlopQ3 is released now for 140.00 . The Carbon Fiber model that dunlop claims is closer to a full race tyre but made for the street ---- supposto be a pretty big step above the Q2 that i've run 7 sets in a row with on my bike and love them except for the 2k miles i get out of em - that' s the reason i went with the Pilot road 3 this time just to see if i could get some extra miles of wear ..... Next time though i'm going with the new Q3 - i just gota find out about that tyre --- because i liked the Q2 so much i want to see how the new one goes -
