just done the water pump as i have been suffering water loss at quite a quick rate,
filled with oil and i bled the system by lifting the wheel of the floor. ie: ride up steps, cracked the bleed valve on the water pump and radiator no air, so all is good there.
filled the compensating tank in between min and max ready to go. went out done about 40 miles got home, compensating tank is above max but going down while cooling but checked this morning and its below min.

whats the crack hear? do you reckon there might still be air in the system?
before i done the water pump the water from the compensating tank was no returning to the radiator so it was just dumping on the floor and leaving my radiator empty but its returning now.
has anyone got any ideas.

thanks alot mark

to bleed it properly its not just a matter of filling up on an angle, it needs to be rock onto its sides while you 'massage' the pipes to try and pump the fluid in... then take it for a ride, top up and maybe even again.

after that if it keeps dropping then I would be looking into leaks in the hoses, etc

and if you havent done it already... buy a new radiator cap.... SD's are prone to issues from the rad caps
