My 2007 drips coolant from the hoses until the thermostat pops off. I replaced the cap and installed some nice silicone hoses with beefy clamps. Still weeps. Seals are good, no coolant in the oil. Anybody had this problem?

I'm guessing you mean that a hose is leaking at a join,
Which hose ?, and where does it join ?

Sounds like nearly all of them are leaking which would indicate a pressure build up within the system. Is your coolant overflow hose clear? Does the cap fit correctly?

....overflow hose is clear (I have to top off the overflow tank occasionally). Yesterday during warm up it spit coolant out the 1st connection at the base of the radiator prior to the thermostat. I have had leaks aft of the thermostat but not much. The Samco hoses (KTM orange of course) do seal better. Before installation, coolant pushed out from most connections, especially from those lame 1 time use factory clamped connections. My theory (I am a mechanic but work on HD/Buell V-twins) is the thermostat is not popping off at the right temp and overpressurizing the system. The reason for the post is due to the sheer agony of pulling apart and changing out the thermostat (many an F bomb will be dropped), is there anything else I should check?

Did you bleed the air out of the system after replacing the hoses by raising the front wheel? Is the bung for the overflow hose clear? Does it ever overheat?

...bung hole clear. Bled/ burped system. No overheating. ONLY weeps until thermostat pops, then pressure is relieved.
