Hi guys!
Couldn't find appropriate topic, where to put this question, that's why created new thread.
Maybe somewhere it was already discussed, but couldn't find.
Problem is, that in rain time tyre throws up water, and everything is wet, bag, pants, back, etc. (Not for me, for girlfriend!

You need a bigger girlfriend to keep you dry.
I haven't seen a bigger rear mudguard in 6 years since owning my 1st SD (and I can't imagine it would look any good anyway). Same problem with chain lube as the chain guard is also too short.
Just get yourself some better waterproofs or buy and old Beemer like in the pic for when the weather is shite.

Riding in the rain a fair bit I've often thought of this too.
I'd love to retro-fit one of those axle/swingarm mounted mud guards as well, I think the Ducati Multistrada one is nicer looking than the BMW unit but would probably be harder to custom fit.
I don't see myself splashing out for a new one from Ducati so i'll be at the mercy of the 2nd hand market/ebay to make it a reality.

You might get one from a Cagiva Grand Canyon or Navigator to fit without too much work

Maybe this could be winter project! I think that rear tyre guard wouldn't look too bad too...
Will try to find manual to Cagiva or BMW to find out the dimensions!

IIRC the Cagiva has a 160 section rear tyre. I can't remember exactly how much room there is either side of the tyre though.

Never seen one of those Cagiva grand canyons before, we don't get them in our market.
tuciz, I've been searching for terms like "rear guard", "rear fender", "rear mudguard", stuff like that, add a bike model to the search to narrow it down, come up with a couple for the ducati. (The MS1200 has a 190 rear)
