I was going to order new right angle vavle stems, but I don't know what size to get (8mm or 10mm). Does anybody know what will fit the rim on a 2007 Superduke?

Thank You in Advance!

While I have not measured it (!) - Marchesini (Brembo) rims are usually 8 mm. 10 mm is what most of the Japanese rims have.

it's not the same size as on japanese bikes.

I have to look up at home. ducati/aprilia use the same.

Ducatis with Marchesini/Brembo wheels have 8 mm holes. This I have measured. As stated previously, Japanese mostly use 10 mm.

Without personally having measured the stem holes on Superduke wheels, I am unable to state with absolute certainty what diameter the holes are. Given that the Superduke wheels are Marchesini (a Brembo brand), its a good bet they are 8 mm.

I've decided on the K & L brand. They seem to get great reviews.

The local cycle gear store here in Austin only had the 10mm variety in stock. Since I'm still unsure about the size, I bought the 10mm units and ordered the 8mm units. I'll just return the ones that don't work.

I have bought, I dunno, 15 pairs of this brand (Bridgeport - a Schrader brand, I think), from this vendor . They have both sizes in stock, and nice selection of colors. And $1 of every order goes to the RRW Airfence Fund.

I've never had one fail. But then, I've never gone faster than 170 mph with them. Maybe an issue for drag racing (?), or 300+ mph runs at Bonneville (?), but not for road racing. I suspect that failures at <200 mph aren't due to centrifugal force - at least not initially. I would attribute these to a defect: which could be the material from manufacturing (poor quality); caused from misapplication/misuse/abuse (not necessarily intentional); or something impacting the stem while riding.

Those are the same valve stems PJs sells and they are cheaper. PJs want $22 each and the link you provided have them for $29 for the set....nice!
