Like it says, where do you guys buy your tyres especially the Aussie guys.
I'm trying to get some slicks at a reasonable price ASAP

I can get you brand new fresh stock Metzeler Interact slicks in K1 or K2 compounds for £220. Those were for 120/180. Might be a little bit more for a 190. We tend to use a K1 soft front and a K2 medium rear over here.

Not sure how much postage would be to OZ though.

I posted about it on tdr. Metzeler have brought their prices down and the motorsport dealers who move the race rubber get 10% off. All the online places are trying to keep it secret and keeping the prices high.

I can nip in and get a set and post em down or meet up at a trackday. If a few of us chipped in for a couple of sets at once we might get them cheaper still. He can get them in within a few days.

We have been bring tyres into Nz from jake Wilson .com. for about a year now.
The postage rates are $75 US DOLLARS for goods under $200 and $110 for goods under $300 us dollars.

Depending on exchange rate it works out alot cheaper.
Tyres arrive in about 7 days from order.

I've never bought any slicks yet. Love the idea of them but treaded are useful as I can finish them off on the road. Maybe its time to take the plunge though with those prices. You coming to Cadders next Thursday?

Fook it I'll take a set of slicks please dude. Although the weather for next Thurs is looking more like wets will be required. PM me how you want me to pay. Paypal or cash on the day at Caddders. Is K1 front and K2 rear the way to go? When I buy scrubs they are normally K3 rears.

Or of course I can ring the guy and pay for them with my card. That might be the best option for me.
