hi all, having trouble with my SD which has been constant since i got it about 10,000km ago.
as soon as i brake reasonably hard from 180ish a couple of times or in some tight twisties with a bit of trail braking i seem to get alot more lever travel and the braking power seems to go away. i have bled the brakes a few times, pulled the calipers apart and fully cleaned them out then re-bled, i'm thinking its pad material.
when the brakes are cold i can pull it up on the front wheel with one finger at 100km/h no problems but after a couple of stops the lever travel doubles at least and i dont have the confidence that it will pull me up. i have been putting off taking it to the track just because of this.
what brake pads are people using for fast street riding/track riding?
my pace is fast and i am 100kg so theres alot of load on these brakes!

I'm just about to install EBC HH sintered
For me it's spirited mountain road rides, canyon carving. Daily commuter
For the price, it seemed recommended on here and from my local dealer.
Galfer was also recc'd but again Im thinking for the money...EBC HH

Bendix MRR if you can get them, probably the best pads you can buy

I would try spinning the front wheel to make sure you don't have too much brake drag - could be the brakes dragging heating them up too much causing fade; seems odd that they should be OK cold but not hot...

I use Brembo Sintered SC Compound.
For me, the best pads I have used to date, tried the likes of EBC etc.
Each time I take my Superduke for an MOT, the MOT tester comments that the front brake on my Superduke is one of the most powerful he has ever tested. I see that as a recommendation.
Or talk to www.bikehps.com they don’t just sell, they test and sometimes in conjunction with bike magazines. bikehps are very impressed with the Brembo SC.
By the way, Brembo SC’s are reassuringly expensive.

SuperHoon,
Sounds like time for a good servicing of the brakes, the SM should not be better on the brakes than the Supeduke.
