Happened to get a huge glob of Jasco premium paint remover gel right into my left eye. Needless to say, lots of intense burning and not fun happened immediately afterwards. I ran my eye through a rense for 30min (holy shit that was painful by itself, never want to do that again). My vision went very blurry for a while (kinda worrying) but it cleared up. My eye has continued to be very red and it still feels very irritated. I have noticed it getting a bit better over the past 7 hous.
Is this something that just needs some time to heal up, or should I be going to see an eye doctor in the morning lol

My eyes are not something I'd be gambling with. I'd go to an eye dr.

Sheesh man - really, on a forum? Late to this, but yes - urgent care.
First, I'd have called the poison hotline - and I'm guessing they would have advised a flush (tap water, if available saline).
I looked at the MSDS for this stuff - not the most horrible chemical paint remover ... Pretty common methyl-ethyl-death (hydrocarbon) solvent stuff ... At least it wasn't naval jelly (phosphoric acid) or something like it.
SDNerd notes to buy BassGirl some safety goggles, and staple them to his head.

I called poison control when it happened.when they called back later to checkup they said I didn't need to go to the doctor if the symptoms weren't still there (blurred vision and severe burning). Common sense tells me my eye has been roughed up by the continuous water spray for 30min and just needs some time to heal. But yeah I should go to urgent care regardless

Just saw this and wanted to see how you are doing. Agree with the other posts BA, eyes are the one thing which none of us should screw with. I learned to repair/service mechanical time pieces years ago and a fellow student was an ER doc, and one day I asked why he always wore safety glasses at his bench. He told me the eyes are one of the few things in our bodies which don't heal, and knowing that these watches are spring powered it just takes one freak release of energy to render an eye useless.
More on our topic, he told me a story which a motorcyclist came in one day after riding w/o eye protection and hit a fly going 35mph, that was enough to lose that eye. Many times I have pulled next to motorcyclist here in Tucson where there it seems to be the trend to ride unprotected, and I let them know I don't care about their tank tops, flip flops, shorts, and lack of a helmet, but not having even a cheap pair of sunglasses to protect the eyes is utter stupidity.
Hope your eye is OK!

Whatever he calls it it obviously doesn't affect the eyes but the brain.

My phone screen is literally cracked so badly that I can't really see the words I'm typing, or what autocorrect decides to do on it's own. Yes, I meant astigmatism.
