Greetings to all. The Superduke R I picked up today is my first KTM. So far unfortunately it's not too good a start (loose front wheel spindle nut and quite loud mechanical noise from offside fork tube on rebound) but overall there's masses of promise; masses of character, as expected. My other bike these days is a Morini Corsaro Veloce 1200 so the two big twins will be really interesting to compare. The first impression of course is the obvious one regarding lightness and extra torque on the part of the Superduke but the Morini is no slouch with 123Nm of torque, a direct linear throttle and no 'riding modes' to use in place of riding skill. (Funny, it always used to be like that. I don't remember everybody falling off. . . . ) I haven't explored the website properly yet but I'm hoping it's got a technical edge. I've already noticed signs of lockout as far as getting hold of software and doing one's own servicing (CO, TPS) is concerned - hope that's not really true but I fear it might be. Oh well, while the front end is being sorted out I can at least defrost myself and polish the beast. I'm near Stroud / Cirencester if any other owners are near . . . . cheers . . . .

Welcome comrade Rod100
Yup get that fork looked at ASAP because the factory has been known to have some QC problems but once you've got the initial minor issues sorted you'll enjoy the ride. Unfortunately at this stage everything is locked up however tuning can be achieved in a round about manner by using a PC5 Etc. You'll find all of the technical info relating to that using the Search button up near the top of the screen. KTMGUY has a PC as does KEVXTX if my memory is correct. Fill in the location information and somebody near you is likely to invite you for a ride.

Welcome. 990 or 1290?
I looked seriously at the Corsaro a few years ago - they look the part - very nice.
My folks live near Yate, although I don't so that's not of any use at al!!

Hi!
Cracking resource here, already used lots so I thought it rude not to register and say hello.
Bought myself a 07 Black 990 in the last couple of months to replace a 08 690 Duke 3 after wanting something with a little more legs and less vibration! Previous come from a 749 Ducati and 03 SV650.
Big fan of tinkering and getting my bikes bob on, already started with the tarting up with the odd carbon bit and repainting rusty bits, but also had a play with balancing throttle bodies, replacing the coolant and flashing in the smoothed Akro map. Run afoul of the odd issue too, one snapped exhaust head bolt and one snapped in the water pump but all fixed thanks to the guides on here. Current project is polishing the headers from brown back to something resembling a shine!

Welcome. Good choice of bike, easy to tinker with. Throttle body balancing pays dividends – doesn’t is usually.

Welcome in, I have my gopro mount in almost the same location.
Love it for wheelies and making sure I'm hitting my apexes.
