I can't seem to free off the inner cover. I've removed all the bolts I can see, even the one hiding in the water pump cavity. I don't poses a rubber hammer but have been using a piece of wood as a drift and have been hitting it with a hammer all around the cover - no joy.
I think it's stuck on the dowl.

Am I a bonehead in thinking you have to pull the clutch.

The manual doesn't mention needing to touch the clutch pack at all.
Maybe I just need to hit it harder!

i would be careful about whacking the cover with anything though...

Yeh, I've been following that link as a guide.
I also went on a parts fiche website and indeed realised there are 2 dowels...
Not really sure what to do now... keep hitting the casing or use a 90 Deg flat blade screwdriver on the top tab to try & knock the casing outwards..
This sort of thing..

Done it
The angle screw driver enabled me to lever the casing off.
JFYI - There are 2 places that there are 2 opposing faces that are accessible and where no damage can occur to the mating surfaces.

from there you can gradually pri the casings apart and suddenly it pops off the dowels and comes off easily.
