I've noticed a couple of 1290's I've seen in pictures have the rear shock reservoir on the left side of the bike, I'm assuming it doesn't make a difference? I've never had mine off, no need to, just curious how many got the bike assembled by the dude who partied all night.

Following Kev, it seems if assembled the wrong side it rubs on the subframe, on his bike it did anyway.
Worth a look. Mine is correct (at least that part is).

If the shock is fitted the wrong way around it will rub through the shock resvoir & you will have a stuffed sub frame & shock, happened to me.

I'm pretty sure mine has the reservoir on the right side. Don't know if that's right or wrong

Surely just go to KTM website and view the bike in their model range

I thought this was going to be a thread about which side we all dress. Oh well just for the record I'm a leftie.

Since I'm right handed, I use that for the clicking of the mouse to skip scenes and what not, and leave the Wanking to my left hand
