Just after the wallop:
Oil pissing out:
Culprit did a runner but left evidence behind:
The engine cover is toast, clutch inside likely also damaged as grabs but then engages. No leaks of clutch master or slave as initially thought.
Radiator bend and bashed, can't get the radguard out. Didn't leak however.
Worn through the cover:
Shark helmet did a great job:
Gloves did not:

Glad to see you are ok after the damage sustained by the bike.
Best of luck deciding what will replace the busted 1290.

I've been thinking that R&G slider ones are not enough safety to protect the cover as I could see your clutch cover damage is upper than R&G sliders protects it.
If you see the carbon ones from power parts these looks like larger than R&G but maybe thinner...
Another thing is that maybe evotech frame sliders would protected your radiator and your tank covers...
Anyway, waiting for your motorbike in use again!

Damn shame there wasn't enough Emu left to eat it.
Here, it's turkeys and mule deer ... The Emu here are constrained to farms (most of the time).

Heal quickly and here is something to chew on-
Emu Burgers
1 large Emu ground into small pieces
1 slug of rum
2 Tbsp. beer
1 Tbsp. Vegetable oil
1 Tbsp. Soy sauce
1 tsp. Onion powder
1/2 tsp. Garlic powder
1 tsp. Liquid tyre smoke, optional
Combine all ingredients with ground emu and mix well.
Cook over hot engine and serve on an orange plate.

Once sorted they are a brilliant bike that does everything I want it to do, plus you still have all the bolt on goodies.
Sure the Beemer has more at the same price but for me an IL4 is out of the question and after a parallel twin it's my least favourite engine configuration.
Sure the top rush is awesome but for something that can break the speed limit in first gear it seems kind of pointless with the way cops are here.
Maybe the 2015 model has most of the issues sorted.
Be watching with interest.
Glad the bike seems to be the only thing that suffered majorly. How fast were you going when you hit it?

Left foot still has nice colour scheme and left thumb tendon and knee a bit stiff but I'm officially OK ...
Did go there to have a try and only rode longer after I checked that I didn't get additional swelling and so. All good!
Just waiting for the assessor on Tuesday and decide what to buy.

I almost hit one of those damn things about 100ks out of Port Agusta on my way to Philip Island one year...no matter which way I swerved to avoid him he swerved the same way until the last possible moment when he dived off the road. Thought my trip was coming to a premature end.
Sounds like it might be time for an adventure bike with a roo bar attached to the front

If needed I can provide a list of what I know is wrong with it.
In Short, frame and engine are OK. Clutch needs looking in to as it grabs with the lever in and no leaks on the master or slave cylinder.
Clutch cover needs replacing and radiator is damaged but not leaking.
The rest is mostly cosmetic damage to plastics, lever, pedals, mirrors..... Forks are ok but have scratches on the bottom front wheel has damage too.
