I tend to have a bit of a sore spot for modifying the tails of bikes. I just hate all that plastic that they have to stick on there to make them "road legal".
What I wanted to do was to use my milling machine to create a nice sculpted license plate hanger, but I soon realised that I wasn't able to visualise it in my head and that I needed a "buck", a prototype. So I set out with some U-profiles and came up with this.
I'm not sure about the apperance, I'd like it to be tidier, higher and just plain more p0rn0.
Sadly the plate doesn't fit between the exhausts, and I wasn't able to angle the silencers outwards (only about 10mm but that was with pressure on the hangers and the system - not good!).
I'd love to hear your suggestions on improving on it before I get round to firing up my milling machine and starting to make a huge pile of swarf!
Enough yappin'. Pictures:

For version 1.1 I had to brace the top angle as it was "slipping down" from the initial test ride (finished it 23:00 last night, so I've not tried v1.1 yet).
Also fitted "Micro Arrow" indicators at the front (and the rear as shown above). Huge difference in size.

Right now I'm very split with this version. I'd like the plate up higher. I don't know if it's sturdy enough. I'm toying with the idea of having the indicators above the exhaust. But that would mean they're in the heat and that any sort of luggage would be pretty much out of the question.
Choices, choices...
Any good ideas on improvements..?
