Just curious if anyone has had any experience with this type of battery?

Couple of buddies are using them in their KTM dirt bikes with complete success. Big advantage as the batteries are up high under the seat so the weight reduction is very noticable. Also, they crank the bike over much better. I'm sure the sport bike ones are good too.

I am using the one size smaller (14) and it kicks the bike over every bit a fast as the lead acid battery at a nearly 7 lbs savings. I understand that there are few if any left in the country and no date for new ones has been announced.

Joe, what's up buddy!
last Sun I installed a Ballistic Li-Fe, simmilar to Shorai, but made in USA, not China (Jap components asembled in China)... got it from MotovationUSA
http://www.motovationusa.com/mvstore/sc ... oduct=1249
great battery, cranks like crazy, and did not loose any power after countless restarts due to side-stand sensor failure... only bad thing i can think off is that it is much smaller, and i had to fiddle-around with fitting it into the battery box in a way that it would not move around.
Cheers Joe!

Smoky, what size did you choose? The 8 cell?
Edit: Just found their application chart. They recommend the 8 cell.
