As you will see I have a dent in the right side Akrapovic end can on my 08 SD R. Don’t ask how I got it but I’d like to see if there’s anyway of fixing it.
I was chatting to a certain Desmosedici owner on Sunday who reckons that it can be pushed out from the inside by filling with water?? Anyway I have no idea so I’m hoping that someone on here knows an out fit that can repair alloy dents like this one.
I’m located in the Thames valley half way between Reading and Maidenhead
Suggestions and advice gratefully accepted! Photos follow.........

This is easy to fix.
1) Take it off, then take it apart and remove the insides including filling.
2) Block one end off with a cork/rubber/tape/ anything.
3) Fill it with water, just past the dent and stand it vertically.
4) stick it in the freezer over night.
If the dent is not fully out, which may be the case, melt the ice with a hair dryer or just leave it for a day; and repeat the procedure.
You ask if this works - yes it does, I have done it several times on various exhausts. The only tip is not to seal both ends, the ice needs to go somewhere when it expands - and if you seal both ends it will break your exhaust.
Cheers,
Gregz

So by home work he means you're reading through the forum, even the old stuff and in the process finding out all sorts of useful info about your new superduke.
