"Of note is that AMA Superbike champion Josh Hayes was scheduled to be at Valencia in order to take some laps on Edwards’ bike as a reward from Yamaha for his performance and loyalty. It will be interesting to see if this comes to fruition. If it does, it will also be interesting to see if Hayes can adapt to using TC, as the only TC he uses is in his R wrist.

Thanx for the post. My first impression is that Hayes will not be suited to the bike near as well as other Yamaha riders that come to mind. One being eugene Lafferty and of course Marco Melandri. The SBK guys have been running a fairly sufistikated TC for some time and Marco knows a thing or two about circling with his former brodogs. I tried to warm to Hayes in the AMA, but found myself rooting for most everyone else that could catch him. I do not know why I pick or root for a rider, it is more of a gut thing. Marco has been at the top of my list since I saw him crashing a bike at Laguna. Hell as that goes they could have thrown that Chaz Davies a bone, he's been there before and won the Supersport championship for Yamaha.
Well I wish him luck but expect even Crutchlow will beat him, if he can stay on till the end, and that is a big if.
