Id post up in the Tuono forum but they are a bunch of tits

Well turned up at Cadders, to a dry track with some damp/wet in parts of the woodland section and where the trees line the track, went with a couple of guys from work, Tony on his Tuono Factory and another work colleague Andy who I convinced to do his first TD on his street triple R. The Hottrax breifing was slit your wrists boring, the comapre dude was dishwater, as in dull as

Went out on the first session took it steady in the advanced group with Tony, warmed my tyres and familiarised myself again, bike still does not like Coppice and the mountain section but then I know the front needs some work its usable though, some numpty manages to highside on the sighting laps

Then Tony comes past me on the brakes at Park on lap 2 while im getting my grove on not having this! I pressure him for a good lap or so, he is fast, (and he certainly has the better bike), but I know the circuit better
however both bikes are identical engine wise but I have better corner speed cue harassing him for a good lap or so until he tips into Barn too early (as my bike is close enough to his back wheel to check out the manufacture date) was planning to do him into Coppice but need not have bothered as he clips the kerb slowing him down and I accelerate past dont see him again for the rest of the session.

Whilst battling with Tony a speed triple joins the show he was quick too, and he is a lot like Jody, he is not afraid to push it on the first couple of laps with cold tyres (no warmers) and every time I went out would be directly behind me so he could do me on the first two laps

Then Tonys missus and kid show up amongst others, and carnage ensues, yellow flag on Coppice for some guy that binned it so I slow past the accident and enter Charlies 2 in a gear to high, but was not sure if it would be a red flag, cue Tony flying past...........tw@t, no yellow flag at Park (whic I thought there would be)so its game on hunting him down, does not take long till I out accelerate him out of Barn again

Last session before lunch I enter the track first, however Tony is in the second wave so I warm my tyres slowly so he can catch up, check behind he's there, time to pin it.........Rag the tits off the Tuono however never see the factory come past, then on the slowing down lap see him and the bike parked up at Park DOH, think I pushed him too much eek.

Get back to the pits and Tony rides down, pissed off and with a rear foot brake lever pointing 90 degrees in the wrong direction. Turns out he had tried to outbrake me into Park again and locked his back brake up, grass track...weave....fall. Whoops I can only presume he thought as he did me earlier into park he could do the same, however by 4 sessions in I had worked out my braking markers again

His bike is fine, ego not so, two crashes in two TD's at cadwell in a row now go out for first session after lunch, then my front tries to tuck/drive me into the tarmac on the hairpin on about lap 5. "this does not feel right, WTF?!" slowly limp round to find out my front tyre is flat

Pump it up again, try to find a puncture but cant? miss out the penutimate session and cant see any more air escaping or tyre pressure drastically reducing, so do the last session. Will check the tyre tomoz see if I have a slow puncture, fairly new ractectec interact front too

All in all a good day, Tohomo's gearbox is damn good as is the slipper clutch type thing it has as standard, but everything else is very average.

Sooooooooooooooooo tempted by the SDR Art of Racing bike on ebay at the moment

Certainly feel I have reached my talent limit though and find it frustrating, just cant seem to get any faster, I think I am fairly smooth but feel I may have to learn to poin it sooner and try and brake that little later. Thoughts?

Nice to meet KTM 666 today, he was in inters and his missus riding his SD in novice

Now I need to find another circuit to have a go on......

Bike is obviously not used to being ridden hard, it's just disintegrating from under you.

Don't lose heart mate, like with any sport it's easy to get to a certain level but improving from there is usually ten times the time and effort to really become a competitor, if you know what i mean.

I sometimes wonder if I should start setting brake markers and stuff to try and go faster but when I'm out there apart from trying to get past someone I'm usually just as happy keeping it smooth and easing into the corner without drama (ish) than trying to squeeze the last few feet out and i wonder whether I'd enjoy it as much if I started thinking too much about it, at the moment I just kind of brake when it feels right but I know that's not gonna help me get any quicker.

Perhaps snetterton should be on your list this year, I'd like to go back again in the dry if i get the chance, the new circuit should be pretty awesome in the dry.

Sounds like you had a good day mate, and the weather held out for ya. A mate was racing there monday and it pissed it down.
I'll bring some cone's from work and put em out for ya so you hit you're braking point bang on each time, and i promise to put em before the appex of every corner and not after
Nice write by the way
