I know somebody out there has installed their new taillight. The screws that hold the stock one on are plastic, so rather than trial and error, I figured I'd ask about the install.
The Custom tail comes with some dense foam pads that will push against the bracket of the subframe that the screws go into. It seems REALLY tight. Should I shave down those pads, remove them, do something different, or just squish and screw all together. Advice?

Are you sure the screws are plastic? Mine are metal. Is yours a 2014 or 15? Maybe they changed the screws?
I just screwed mine all the way in until it was bottomed out. Be careful though because you don't want to over-tighten it. I really like my Tail light, but I wish it was smoke.
