First two weeks with the new SD, my fuel light seems to be coming on inconsistently.
First tank - Reserve came on at 70km, kept riding till 103 km then filled up, 11.3 litres ( tanked still looked about half full)
Second tank - Reserve came on at 125 km, rode till 129 km, then filled up, 10.34 litres
Third tank - Reserve came on today at 105 km, ( tanked still looks about half full), haven’t filled up yet.
50 km round trip commute every day, , so a bit of filtering and open motorway.
Thoughts?

What year SD?
Are you using the Akra map? You can tell if you smell like a Buddhist monk about to self immolate.
125km is 77 miles. I average 130 miles (210km) before the light comes on and can get 150-160 (250km) before I run out of gas.

2005 are a bit of drinkers, that is why they increased the tank size from 07 on.
If someone had the bike modified with exhausts at one stage they might have loaded the akra map which is super rich.
If you post where you are in the world you might find someone nearby who has tuneecu and can check the map for you. KTM dealers can too, so if you got it of one, get him to check it.
Tuneecu is free for PC btw you just need the cable. Have a read in the tuneecu treads.
And yes the fuel sensor on these sometimes packs it in!

Would tune Ecu or the dealer diagnostic alert if there was an issue with the reserve sensor?
Part of my commute is down a hill for 2mins, today going up the hill the light went out, then came back later at 120 km.
Been tracking my economy on fuelly and it seems as expected, I really think it's the sensor playing up
