I really wanted a carbon fibre rear fender, I think people call them the duck bill, it can't locate one anywhere so my next idea is to remove it. Is it just a case of cutting it off? Fitting a tail tidy of then cutting the fender off?

Yes, you would amputate the bill from the rest of the underseat plastic. Note that the actual "duckbill" part is just the top area of the fender, not the large swoopy down plastic where the oem bilnkers and plate go. My understanding is the carbon fiber piece just sticks on over the plastic bill. I was going to cut the whole thing off too, but then I decided that I liked the look with the duckbill, it sort of looks to me like a mini dirtbike fender. I'm on the lookout for the stick on carbon part as well, but it turned out pretty nice in plastic with a Rizoma plate setup from Bic- thanks Bic!

Yeah the carbon bill is a rare find. I've ordered it 6 times now, each time I've went through the ordering process and paid only to receive an email informing me that there no longer in stock even though the site has them up for sale and in stock. That's 6 different online retailers all over the world. I ordered one on Monday and received my out of stock email this morning even though the payment left my bank instantly lol.
